About The Position

Gohn & Stambaugh Inc., a local family owned business, has proudly been providing HVAC & Plumbing residential and commercial services in York County and beyond for 43 years. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Commercial/Residential Mechanical Estimator specializing in Plumbing & HVAC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring competitive bids and successful project execution. We value quality, integrity, leadership, hard work and teamwork!! Responsibilties: Daily responsibilties include researching potential projects, analyzing costs and creating estimates from start to finish. Come equipped with great communication skills for conversations with subcontractors and vendors, as well as developing relationships with General contractors and project owners. Meet strict deadlines Review and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and CAD drawings to perform take offs. Attend bid meetings and site walk throughs. Design Build/Prepare bids Order Materials Manage jobs from start to finish Determine man power needs Prepair as-built drawings Coordinate special equipment needs, cranes, lifts etc... Requirements for Qualified Candidates: Minimum of 5 years experience in the Plumbing/HVAC Commercial Industry Multitasking Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to read blueprints Understanding of the bidding process within the Plumbing & HVAC Industry Strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously with little supervision Strong computer skills, CAD background preferred

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in the Plumbing/HVAC Commercial Industry
Multitasking
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read blueprints
Understanding of the bidding process within the Plumbing & HVAC Industry
Strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously with little supervision
Strong computer skills
