At Regions, the Commercial Relationship Specialist provides general administrative support to Relationship Managers within Commercial Banking, including specialized business segments like Agricultural Banking (AG), Government and Institutional Banking (GIB), Small Business Administration (SBA), and Franchise Lending. This role involves assisting Relationship Managers with daily support activities related to client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for Commercial Banking clients for servicing requests, and ensuring Relationship Managers are kept informed. The specialist is expected to attend weekly meetings to discuss workflow items such as renewals, new pipeline items, and servicing requests. Key responsibilities also include providing various reports, facilitating and managing credit application workflows from collection of financial information to loan closing, and managing post-closing requirements. The position requires managing the Relationship Manager's loan maturity pipeline to ensure timely renewals, acting as a liaison between Credit Products and the Commercial Team for underwriting and loan fulfillment, and managing due diligence. Additionally, the specialist assists with sales support functions, opens new deposit products, collaborates with the Treasury Management team for client onboarding, and maintains data integrity across all client accounts and source systems. Support for clients in specialized business segments and miscellaneous administrative tasks are also part of the role, with the potential to mentor new associates.
