About The Position

Assist with the continued management and oversight of the existing Member Business Loan/Commercial Loan portfolio by providing services to members, lenders and Credit Administration. The role will include ongoing loan servicing tasks, assistance with deposit account opening, and taking a primary role in collecting financial and operational information necessary to support annual reviews and portfolio monitoring.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years lending experience, with experience in Member Business/Commercial lending highly desirable.
  • Experience can be related to origination, loan operations, lending support, credit administration or portfolio administration.
  • Familiarity or ability to quickly adapt to software programs such as Abrigo.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable regulations, particularly as they apply to MBL/Commercial lending.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • This position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. The ability to write simple correspondence is required. This position requires the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, potential members and other employees of the organization.
  • This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. The ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage is also required.
  • This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
  • This position requires the ability to operate, among other things, a multi-line telephone system with voice mail capability, fax machine, calculator, personal computer and copy machine.
  • Basic skills in Windows-based software programs including Word and Excel are required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with deposit account opening and ongoing servicing, in conjunction with team members located in branch locations that facilitate account origination or business relationships
  • Assist members with issues related to loan/deposit accounts, remote deposit or online banking.
  • Track loan covenants, property taxes/insurance, and collection of updated financial information.
  • Perform site visits and escalate any concerns as warranted.
  • Support growth by identifying potential cross-sell opportunities to deepen member relationships.
  • Review loans for potential FHLB collateralization eligibility and/or potential participation.
  • Work with Credit Administration to ensure all information is current and available to facilitate annual loan reviews and/or meet audit requirements. Assist with clearing tickler and exception items related to documentation deficiencies.
  • Assist lenders with portfolio servicing and new loan originations.
  • Collaborate with Credit Administration to ensure accuracy in reporting system data and applicable loan coding and identification.
  • Prepare applicable portfolio reports, and assist with special projects that may arise.
  • Exhibit a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor.
