About The Position

The Commercial Relationship Specialist at UMB Financial Corporation is responsible for assisting with the service of a portfolio in a smaller market while supporting the commercial/relationship team. This role focuses on ensuring excellent client relations and proper servicing of accounts, handling loan originations, funding, and collateral perfection, as well as maintaining electronic files for commercial customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4 years of client/customer service experience.
  • 2 years of administrative support experience.
  • Demonstrates general knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Knowledge and understanding of loan documentation and bank loan policy and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with commercial banking products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with servicing portfolio by ensuring excellent client relations and proper servicing of account(s).
  • Handle ongoing maintenance for loans including advance and payment requests, tracking and preparing tickets/forms for loan payments, and researching loans.
  • Order appraisals and environmental reports, work with third-party vendors, and gather financial information.
  • Track and collect past due loan payments, pull monthly loan reports, and prepare monthly loan summary reports for management.
  • Resolve and clear all financial and collateral exceptions, overdrafts, and online commercial deposit transfers.
  • Handle all aspects of loan originations, funding, and collateral perfection, coordinating with the middle office in Kansas City.
  • Scan executed loan documentation and create/maintain electronic files for commercial customers and prospects.
  • Process No Pin wires with approval of the Commercial Officer and customers, preparing necessary forms and conducting follow-up for branch compliance.
  • Provide support for location/region with travel arrangements, expense reports, and sales call entries in ClientLink.
