The position involves soliciting and maintaining commercial loans and deposits within established guidelines to meet the Bank’s profitability goals. The individual will ensure that Bank standards are met regarding loan quality and collection efforts while managing a portfolio typically exceeding $50 million.

  • Actively solicits commercial loan and deposit customers from both existing database and referrals from centers of influence.
  • Manages a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits and may coordinate some collection efforts.
  • Performs financial analysis associated with loan requests and upon receipt of periodic financial statements.
  • Processes loan applications and prepares appropriate loan documentation.
  • Maintains satisfactory credit quality within loan portfolio such as delinquency levels and net charge offs.
  • Prepares related documentation for loan committee as needed.
  • Obtains current tax returns and other required financial information.
  • Maintains acceptable level of loan exceptions.
  • Responds to disbursement requests, inspections, and inquiries as needed.
  • May collaborate with other senior commercial officers in handling larger and more complicated loans.
  • Ensures that own work is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and guidelines.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 5+ years Commercial Banking or equivalent experience, preferably in a financial institution, required.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial loan documentation and commercial banking.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial non-real estate lending policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of lending services and related areas.
  • Strong consultative sales skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed tasks with accuracy.
  • Good financial analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and computer operations MS Office software.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment including computer, typewriter, fax machine, scanner and copy machine.
