About The Position

Commercial Banking is designed to serve mid-sized businesses with annual revenues between $1 million and $25 million and credit needs up to $10 million. The segment’s value proposition centers on delivering scalable financial solutions that support operational efficiency and growth. Clients in this segment are experienced operators with expanded accounting capabilities and evolving financial needs, including working capital, enhanced payment systems, and faster money movement. Commercial Banking offers consultative support and tailored products that help clients streamline operations and access capital with confidence. The segment builds enduring relationships by providing responsive service and strategic guidance that aligns with each client’s business goals. The Relationship Manager III leads strategic client acquisition and relationship development for mid-sized businesses with complex financial needs. This role is responsible for originating high-value commercial loans, structuring sophisticated credit solutions, and delivering consultative support across treasury management, payment systems, and working capital strategies. Relationship Managers serve as trusted advisors, engaging deeply with clients to understand their strategic goals and deliver value-driven financial solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial banking or complex lending.
  • Expertise in structuring sophisticated credit solutions and treasury management.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage large portfolios and high-value client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts with mid-sized commercial clients.
  • Deliver skilled consultative support on working capital, treasury, and payment systems.
  • Recommend moderately complex, value-driven financial solutions tailored to client goals.
  • Develop and present advanced credit narratives with analyst support.
  • Oversee full deal execution including third-party coordination and legal review.
  • Approve own loans within delegated authority.
  • Coordinate with credit officers, portfolio managers, and lending assistants.
  • Ensure seamless transaction flow and post-funding servicing.
  • Manage large and complex portfolios, including non-borrowing relationships.
  • Monitor risk ratings, covenant tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee renewals, annual reviews, and servicing compliance.
  • Compliance with any and all BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions requirements set forth by Bank Policy and Procedure, including but not limited to timely completion of assigned training.
