About The Position

At Regions, the Commercial Relationship Manager Associate serves as primary coverage support for a Commercial Relationship Manager or team, assisting in the cultivation of client relationships by conducting research, staying abreast of client and industry trends, and participating in industry and client related strategic and tactical planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in management, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in commercial credit analysis, commercial lending analysis
  • Formal credit or commercial loan training
  • Ability to self direct and prioritize tasks, demonstrating both management skills and ability to achieve communicated deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong sense of accountability with a results-driven orientation as part of a collaborative team environment
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assists in cultivation of client relationships by conducting industry research, staying abreast of client and industry trends, and pursing prospects in targeted industry segments
  • Tracks and maintains key internal databases to enhance client deliverables
  • Develops and maintains detailed financial models for valuation, LBO, recapitalization and refinancing analysis
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the Coverage Banker for client pitches and internal deal screens
  • Leads the preparation of written material, including client pitches and internal deal screens
  • Participates in client meetings, due diligence sessions, and other interactions during which provides exposure to key executives and senior bankers
  • Identifies Regions 360 opportunities across the product platform and coordinates discussions with Syndicated Finance, Corporate Finance, Derivatives, Leverage Finance, Treasury Management and others
  • Contributes to client planning by identifying new products, utilizing RCLIQ and other internal tools
  • Qualifies prospects and builds a database from which an intelligent business development campaign can be launched
  • Identifies best person within a prospect to meet with (i.e. Owner, CFO, Treasurer, AT, etc.)
  • Helps coordinate and directs packages through the approval process including preparation of capital commitments analysis and pricing models and coordinating communication and discussions with Credit Products Partners
