The Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager will help manage a portfolio of existing commercial real estate banking customer relationships as assigned by the commercial banking team leader or department manager. The incumbent will have overall responsibility for the daily servicing of these commercial relationships, which involves the management of existing loan and deposit accounts.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have 2-4 years of relevant banking or commercial real estate experience.
  • Total relevant banking experience may be in the areas of Commercial Credit Administration, Commercial Real Estate, Middle Market, Business Banking, Small Business Banking, Mortgage Banking, and/or Private Banking.
  • Must have effective sales skills and superior customer service skills.
  • Must have strong knowledge of commercial and consumer loan and deposit products.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent listening ability and presentation skills.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and strong ability in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Team Leader or Department Manager to support the credit administration needs of that Manager's customer portfolio.
  • Act as a liaison to external customers to develop information concerning their business, financial condition and operating performance, as well as to evaluate financing needs.
  • Travel within the bank's 'footprint' for site visit meetings to commercial customers at their projects and/or place of business.
