This position is a hybrid role that involves evaluating existing and prospective credit relationships, working closely with Relationship Managers and Team Leaders, and providing training and oversight to the credit analyst team. The PM will be an integral part of the Real Estate Finance team, maintaining ongoing relationships with credit customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years’ Commercial Real Estate Lending experience.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial real estate lending practices, compliance issues, and underwriting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers on a daily basis.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Condominium/Homeowners Association preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Position themselves as a value-added resource for all assigned commercial real estate finance relationships.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, RMs, retail offices, cash management, loan accounting, and commercial call center.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of loan products, services, and Firstrust’s credit policies and procedures.
  • Analyze structure, recommend, and submit loans for approval to appropriate approving authority or loan committee.
  • Interact with customers and their accountants in the credit analysis process.
  • Review draft documents prepared by Loan Documentation or outside counsel for proper representation of credit approval.
  • Negotiate changes to the credit approval with both the approving authority and the client/prospect.
  • Represent the RM at settlements as necessary.
  • Monitor construction loans, lines of credit, permanent real estate loans, and other outstanding credit facilities.
  • Maintain, monitor, and update the database on the receipt and tracking of Financial Statements and Other Required Information.
  • Track and clear exceptions for all assigned commercial relationships.
  • Maintain a high standard of credit quality for all assigned commercial relationships.
  • Participate in the portfolio review process with RMs.
  • Work collaboratively with RM and Commercial Loan Documentation to ensure all loan packages contain necessary information.
  • Conduct post-closing audit/review of executed loan packages.
