About The Position

Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 60 firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our Atlanta office. This role is ideal for a candidate with prior law firm experience supporting attorneys in complex commercial real estate matters. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about handling a wide range of transactions, including the development, acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of commercial properties, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will be working closely with attorneys and a collaborative team to manage all phases of commercial real estate transactions and leasing matters. Responsibilities include reviewing and abstracting purchase agreements and ground leases; preparing critical dates memoranda and closing checklists; analyzing title commitments, surveys, and underlying title documents; drafting title summaries and objection letters; coordinating closings; managing post-closing matters, including recordings and title policy issuance; and drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial leases, amendments, and related documents while coordinating with clients and title companies to ensure timely execution and resolution of issues. The ideal candidate will bring strong law firm experience supporting commercial real estate matters and will be comfortable managing multiple transactions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • 3 + years of experience supporting commercial real estate transactions in a law firm setting
  • Demonstrated experience with title and survey review, real estate closings, and commercial real estate leasing
  • Strong technical proficiency and document management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining accuracy and organization
