About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Commercial Real Estate Equity Partner in the United States. This role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead and manage complex commercial real estate transactions while guiding clients through every stage of property acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development. The Commercial Real Estate Equity Partner will represent a diverse client base including property owners, developers, lenders, and investors, providing strategic business and legal advice. The position requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to drive business development, and active participation in succession planning initiatives. Candidates will work in a collaborative, collegial environment while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule. This role combines high-level transactional leadership with client relationship management, offering significant professional growth and visibility. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience practicing commercial real estate law with a portable book of business
  • Extensive transactional experience including office and retail leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, development, lending, and financing
  • Strong commercial lending and banking transaction experience preferred
  • Excellent writing, oral communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Licensed to practice in Colorado or Illinois, or eligible for comity or upcoming bar exams in these states
  • Self-directed, motivated, and client-focused with strong interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with entitlement, zoning, and tax issues in real estate and construction transactions is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing
  • Provide comprehensive legal and strategic advice to clients across various industries and property types
  • Handle due diligence matters including title, survey, environmental, and entity issues
  • Negotiate, draft, and close contracts, agreements, and other transactional documents
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to serve as a trusted business advisor
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and support overall succession planning objectives
  • Mentor and collaborate with colleagues in a collegial, high-performance environment
