About The Position

This is a full-time, hybrid career opportunity on our Commercial Real Estate Credit team supporting our Commercial Real Estate teams. Work location will be in Central PA. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and analyze pertinent credit and financial information on all types of loans to aid the company in making informed and sound credit decisions. Incumbents in this role will focus primarily on moderately complex credits and reaffirmation requests and may mentor junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance. (Required)
  • 5 or more years high level credit analysis experience. (Required)
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and credit evaluation principles (Required)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (Required)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy (Required)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years working knowledge of bank products and types of loan structuring. (Preferred)
  • Commercial Real Estate experience (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of and ability to incorporate credit assessment techniques gained in fundamental credit training(s) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review all pertinent financial information of the borrower, assess risk of complete credit relationship including borrower, related entities, guarantors, and contingent liabilities, and offer insights and detailed reporting of the findings concerning credit worthiness to loan officer and/or loan committee.
  • Prepare deposit and loan summaries on customer relationships and cash flow projections on each borrower, guarantor, and contingent liability.
  • Review loan documentation to assess compliance with loan covenants and loan agreements, as well as to confirm compliance with bank regulation and the bank’s commercial lending policies.
  • Prepare advanced sensitivity analyses with stressing of a multitude of variables that drive revenue and cash flow projections.
  • Gather appropriate information to prepare loan presentations to be presented to loan officer and/or Loan Committee.
  • Along with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers, be an active participant in deal screening meetings to aid in fully vetting the credit.
  • Assist in gathering information required by bank examiners and internal audit and ensure that all operating policies and procedures are followed.
  • Research and stay current on industry trends to maintain understanding of best practices in credit analysis.
  • Assist in educating and mentoring temporary staff and newer Credit Analysts regarding analysis and technical skills.
  • Develop expertise in specific industries and provide guidance and training to other analysts and loan officers within those industries.
  • May act as secretary for Loan Committee meetings.
  • May assist in updating and maintaining customer commitment reports, completing file work and submitting risk rating changes.
  • May analyze relationship profitability reports to help determine appropriate pricing for prospective loans.
  • This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.
