Location: Raleigh, NC Summary: The Commercial Project Manager will oversee all aspects of commercial installation projects, from start to finish, so they are completed on time and within budget and will manage key client projects and relationships.

Requirements

  • 2-3 Years Project Management Experience - preferred.
  • Professional skills necessary to effectively manage projects while maintaining Vector’s quality standards and successfully lead a team.
  • Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm, Card Access, Video Surveillance, networking and Burglar alarm systems. Used in all phases of implementation including support to operations and customer communications.
  • NICET Level II - preferred.
  • Validates proficiency and experience in security solutions.
  • Advanced communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Incumbent must be able to communicate to customers, sales and operations staff.
  • Will have to communicate effectively to individuals with less knowledge/understanding.
  • Continuous Learning: This role requires a commitment to continuous learning, including staying current with industry changes and maintaining applicable certifications as required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project.
  • This includes managing budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
  • Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
  • Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project.
  • Provides Project support for operations to assist in maintiining and/or imprving project margins.
  • Supports field technicians with technical support and design inquiries.
  • Answers questions from customers as they arise.
  • Takes action to resolve operational probles and minimize delays.
  • Regularly visit job sites to evaluate project progress, verify alignment with the scope of work, and ensure the project remains on schedule.
  • Participate in customer/site coordination meetings as needed.
  • Closes out projects upon completion.
  • Ensure Project scope was met based on customer requirements.
  • If project scope was not met, research potential reasons and review with branch management.
