About The Position

The Commercial Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Rockwell Automation by actively contributing to a diverse range of fast-paced and challenging projects. You will focus on collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams to support the successful implementation of Control Systems using Rockwell Automation technologies. This position demands exceptional communication skills and the ability to work with geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams. Strong application engineering expertise is important.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field

  • The ability to travel 15% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically requires 8 years of relevant experience with recognized technical expertise in automation solutions and strong application knowledge.
  • Experience developing, supporting, and implementing automation control solutions.
  • Experience presenting to both executive and technical audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation products such as Studio 5000 Logix Designer, ControlLogix and/or CompactLogix controllers and modules, and FactoryTalk Analytics.
  • Domain expertise in smart machine concepts, including Industry 4.0 and IIoT.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain deep technical expertise and commercial knowledge of Rockwell Automation products and industrial automation applications.
  • Stay current with control and automation standards, particularly those relevant to industrial automation and critical infrastructure.
  • Be a technical expert supporting Marketing and Sales in pre-sales engagements related to Controls and Design Software, including system architecture reviews and recommendations.
  • Create technical documentation, presentations, webinars, videos, and other resources to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team and domain experts.
  • Support trade shows by developing presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on labs.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations both remotely and at Customer Solution and Experience Centers.
