About The Position

We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Commercial Portfolio Specialist based out of our West De Pere location! The Commercial Portfolio Specialist is responsible for portfolio management, credit monitoring, and servicing of commercial relationships with the focus of member experience and portfolio oversight. This includes partnering with Commercial Relationship Managers as the point of contact for the member, acting as a liaison to the Commercial Credit team, Commercial support teams, and the Treasury Management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field
  • Two to five years of work experience in a financial institution and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of commercial lending practices and business deposit accounts
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organization skills, multi-task, time management

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Maintaining and promoting a customer service environment which meets and exceeds members’ needs and expectations
  • Meeting with current and prospective members as needed
  • Assisting with due diligence and onboarding for new relationships
  • Participating in loan closing, account openings, and ongoing account maintenance
  • Ensuring the portfolio administration and risk management of each member relationship is in compliance with established Fox Communities Credit Union lending policy, procedure and business strategy, as well as regulatory guidelines
  • Collecting financial statements and related information
  • Participating in preparing credit presentations for new loan requests, annual reviews, renewals, and credit modifications
  • Requesting and reviewing loan documents and coordinating loan closings; working closely with members and third parties to collect all necessary information related to issuing and renewing loans; ensuring all loan closing related items are collected, filed, and in good order
  • Monitoring construction loans, loan draws, and loan payment activity
