About The Position

Commercial Plumbing Service Technician Levels: Senior and Master Department: Commercial This position will provide service to Phoenix, Arizona and surrounding areas. Pay range: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour, DOE Job Summary The technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in commercial and industrial environments. Strong knowledge of large piping systems, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in varying conditions are essential for this role. The technician will work closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.

Requirements

All qualified candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle (MVR) check, and background check. Additionally, candidates must maintain an insurable driving record as determined by the company’s insurance provider.
Driver’s license must be registered in the state that you will be working in.
For jobs in the state of Texas you will need to be TSBPE Certified.
Must be prepared to handle emergency repair calls and may be required to work on weekends or after regular business hours.
Proficient in commercial or industrial plumbing systems.
Must own your own tools to perform the job.
The company will provide transportation and certain tools that you will be responsible for.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
May ask for references from previous employment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently.
Basic plumbing skills related to commercial and industrial systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and carry heavy tools or equipment (up to 50 lbs or more).
Comfortable working in environments that may be hot, cold, or cramped.
Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods while working on equipment.

Responsibilities

Follow blueprints and installation instructions to correctly place and configure equipment.
Install and set up new plumbing systems for water supply, and waste disposal in new and existing spaces.
Install, maintain and repair water heaters, boilers, and other large-scale plumbing components.
Perform routine maintenance on commercial and industrial plumbing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshooting complex plumbing issues that could affect entire building.
Ensure systems and all their components function correctly while adhering to both local and national plumbing codes and regulations.
Conduct system start-ups and performance test in accordance with the manufactures specifications.
Follow all company, state, and federal safety protocols and guidelines.
Work with clients, contractors, engineers, managers, dispatchers and other tradespeople while performing this job.
Perform service calls and clearly communicate with clients about the work being performed and address any questions that they may have.
Communicate with clients and supervisors to ensure that the work meets their specifications and expectations.
Maintain accurate records of all installations, including materials used, hours worked, and any issues encountered.
Provide written reports and documentation to dispatch and managers detailing installation progress and system performance.
Attend training sessions and classes, either on the job or through a trade school program, to expand knowledge in the industry, including regulations and safety protocols.
