About The Position

The Commercial Masonry Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising masonry crews on commercial construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards while coordinating daily field operations and workforce productivity.

Requirements

10+ years of masonry experience (commercial preferred)
5+ years in a leadership/foreman role
Strong knowledge of commercial masonry methods, materials, and tools
Ability to read blueprints and manage layout work
Proven experience leading crews (typically 5–20 workers)
OSHA 30 certification (required)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions

Nice To Haves

Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
Union or non-union crew leadership experience
Familiarity with scheduling software or construction management tools

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead masonry crews (brick, block, stone) on commercial job sites
Plan, assign, and monitor daily work activities to meet project schedules
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain workflow
Perform layout, measurement, and quality control checks
Train, mentor, and develop crew members and apprentices
Communicate progress, issues, and manpower needs with Project Managers and Superintendents
Maintain daily reports, time tracking, and production logs
Troubleshoot field issues and ensure efficient problem resolution
