Requirements

3+ years of experience in commercial maintenance or facilities management (preferred)
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
Experience with HVAC automation and commercial-grade equipment
Exceptional diagnostic skills and clear communication
Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism
Valid driver's license and insurability under Oakbrook's provider

Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building system maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
Service Calls: Resolve work orders efficiently and professionally-resulting in fewer callbacks and higher tenant satisfaction.
Diagnostics & Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair complex issues across HVAC (including automation), electrical, and plumbing systems.
Suite Turns: Prepare commercial spaces for incoming tenants, ensuring all systems meet Oakbrook's high standards.
Property Walks: Conduct regular inspections and identify issues before they become major problems.
Exterior Upkeep: Maintain safe, clean, and visually appealing grounds.
On-Call Rotation: Participate in an after-hours rotation (approximately one week every 10 weeks).
