About The Position

As a key member of our Commercial Loans Department, you will play an instrumental role in streamlining loan processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. The Commercial Loan Coordinator is a vital administrative hub that ensures the seamless operation of our commercial lending functions. This dynamic role combines administrative excellence with critical compliance oversight, supporting our team in delivering tailored financial solutions with precision and professionalism.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual a plus
  • Access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Prepare, maintain, and distribute essential reports tracking delinquency, maturity dates, and timing exceptions to keep our team informed and proactive.
  • Loan Application Oversight: Review and monitor each commercial loan application to ensure adherence to Trustco Bank’s lending policies and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Customer & Interdepartmental Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, facilitating communication, gathering necessary documentation, and ensuring timely follow-up for all loan-related activities.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Monitoring: Conduct thorough reviews of customer files, CRA, and HMDA data to ensure regulatory standards are met, working closely with Loan Officers to rectify discrepancies.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain meticulous logs on problem loan action plans, violations, and covenant enforcement, providing detailed updates to senior management on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Administrative Support & Coordination: Assist Loan Officers with file management, document tracking, and general administrative duties, including supply ordering and support for maintenance or technical issues.
  • Client Engagement: Facilitate correspondence and follow-up activities, ensuring a positive experience for present and potential clients.
