  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify issues, evaluate options, and drive resolutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while also operating independently with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-service oriented mindset with a commitment to responsiveness, transparency, and follow-through.
  • Ability to lead or facilitate pipeline discussions and status meetings.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability when handling sensitive financial information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in commercial loan processing, commercial lending operations, or a related mortgage/lending role preferred.
  • Prior experience working directly with underwriters, closers, and third-party vendors required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience processing small-balance commercial, investor, or non-owner-occupied residential loans strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to commercial and investor lending preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned loan pipeline in accordance with established key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Process multiple loan files simultaneously at various stages of the loan lifecycle.
  • Maintain complete and accurate loan-level data within the LOS/CRM, including real-time updates to loan status, milestones, and events.
  • Ensure loan applications and processing conditions are complete, accurate, and compliant prior to submission to underwriting.
  • Request, track, and review all required third-party reports (e.g., appraisals, title, credit, flood, environmental, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, brokers, vendors, and internal partners, providing timely, professional, and solution-oriented customer service.
  • Collaborate closely with Underwriters, Closers, and Supervisors to resolve loan-level issues and move files to approval, closing, or denial.
  • Independently request, organize, and analyze loan documentation and submit complete files to underwriting in accordance with program and product requirements.
  • Proactively manage and reprioritize pipeline activities to meet deadlines and service level expectations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable loan programs, guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Utilize LOS/CRM tools and pipeline reports to manage daily workflow, monitor assignments, and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Work toward individual and team quarterly goals and actively participate in quarterly performance review meetings.
  • Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with direct supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
