About The Position

Role: Perform various credit admin functions, which includes processing loan closing conditions, document preparations and review, preparations for loan closing process, and clearing of exceptions. Completes maintenance and loan boarding as needed. Helps ensure timely and accurate balancing of loan portfolio and GL accounts. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Accurately process loan closing conditions. Drafts and proofs loan documents and loan agreements for lending staff. Orders documents from Attorneys/Title Companies to complete preparation of loan documents and loan closings. Ensures files meet compliance, applicable law and regulatory guidelines, including compliance regulations. Works with lenders and attorneys to remove loan and collateral exceptions. Policies and procedures are to be applied within guidelines to the highest level. Responsible for escrow payments being distributed in a timely manner, as well as maintenance regarding escrow accounts. Complete system maintenance, account balancing /reconciliation, reports, and loan servicing tasks as needed. Books closed loans, renewals, and modifications accurately and in a timely manner. Reviews and ensures booked loan files and file maintenance is accurately input into loan systems. Identifies errors and returns for repair. Participate in special projects as assigned by management. Performance Measurements: 1. To maintain and update knowledge of banking operations, loan documents, policies and procedures. 2. To maintain and update knowledge of banking regulations that affect the loan portfolio 3. To perfect and update host system loan module knowledge. 4. To prepare requested reports by definitive deadlines. 5. To work with little supervision, communicating any and all backlogs to supervisor on a frequent basis. 6. To maintain the confidentiality of all information as directed in banking procedures. 7. Maintain appropriate attendance and punctuality. 8. To comply with all state and federal regulations that are applicable to their specific job duties. 9. To complete all assigned training within the allotted time frame. 10. To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all customers and employees. 11. Requirements

  • Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
  • Knowledge of office practices, procedures, methods and equipment including Windows XP, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of loan system codes and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skill, ability to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of lending regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply loan policy and regulations to consumer and commercial loan files.
