At C&N, we’re seeking a Commercial Loan Operations Specialist to support our Credit Administration team by accurately loading, reviewing, and maintaining commercial loan data within our core systems. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring loan accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely processing—all while supporting an exceptional experience for both internal partners and customers. Requirements

  • Education & Experience – You will need a High School Diploma or GED AND 0–2 years of experience in related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills – You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Critical thinking and research skills Active listening and clear communication Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Loan Boarding & System Maintenance: Load new commercial, mortgage, and consumer loans into the Core system, review data flowing from loan origination systems, and complete required maintenance based on product specifications and customer requests.
  • Post-Closing Review & Documentation: Perform post-closing reviews of new loans, ensure file completeness, create document requests for missing items, scan and index files into Identifi, and maintain required physical documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Loan Processing & Transactions: Process loan payments, payoffs, disbursements, and special transactions including ACH reversals and corrections. Fund new loans accurately and handle transactions related to swaps, participations, and TCDC loans.
  • Reporting & Quality Control: Review daily loan-related reports, research discrepancies, and make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy within the Core system.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues, support loan operations workflows, and protect the bank through accurate and timely processing.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrate professionalism and responsiveness while upholding C&N’s Customer Service Standards in every interaction.
