About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to assist TBACU to live out its mission, “To serve our community and build trusted relationships.” A key component of this service is to identify members’ needs and provide appropriate TBACU product solutions which ultimately helps grow the credit union. To adequately and effectively serve members and TBACU’s staff by providing prompt and accurate financial data and maintaining financial security. Provide excellent service to internal and external members performing a broad range of lending services and tasks such as supporting the commercial loan department with document preparation, processing, servicing, reporting functions and member service. Administer systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of loans.   • Proficient in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite/o365 Suite.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • One year of experience in business lending, commercial loan administration and/or credit analysis, required.
  • Sound understanding of mathematical applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Specifically with pivot tables and specialty equations with respect to financial analysis.
  • Proficient at analyzing and understanding financial statements and financial data.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred.
  • Three to five years of commercial lending or processing experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal partners, commercial lenders, and third‑party service providers to organize, process, and service commercial loans in accordance with all regulations, policies, and internal limits—supporting underwriting, closing, servicing, and member communication throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Prepare, review, and verify commercial loan documentation and system data for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance across all stages, including application, underwriting, closing, and servicing.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date loan files, tracking systems, and loan origination/servicing data to support timely reviews, reporting needs, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure reporting of any/all policy exceptions for underwriting and servicing of commercial loans are prepared for regular board and senior leadership reports.
  • Administer and monitor commercial loan portfolios to ensure full compliance with regulatory and policy requirements, including completing periodic reviews of all member business loan files in alignment with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Monitor loan performance and identifying signs of potential issues requiring follow‑up or escalation.
  • Ensure proper documentation, tracking, and monitoring of collateral throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with third‑party service providers and vendors to ensure accurate loan servicing and issue resolution.
  • Assist with all aspects of commercial lending including posting of payments, payment of various insurances for escrow accounts, payment of taxes for escrow accounts, and tracking for insurance and taxes.
  • Assist with administration of loan operations software, and related applications, support team member training, and troubleshoot with vendors when required.
  • Understand and properly apply state and federal lending regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliant loan documentation, accurate processing, and proper loan servicing.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of credit union products and services, specifically related to commercial lending.
  • Promote credit union products and services when appropriate.
  • Meet established position expectations.
  • Ability to become a Notary.
  • Ability to be bonded.
  • Ability to clear credit and criminal history check.
  • Compliance with the U.S Patriot Act and the Credit Union’s Bank Secrecy and OFAC Policies and Procedures.
  • Compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Credit Union’s Information Security program, maintaining the privacy and security of information, systems, and locations.
  • Provide information on commercial loan types, terms, rates, and documentation needed to be considered for a loan.
  • Develop and present workflows for all stages of document preparation, closing, and collateral management ensuring each lender & processor understands process requirements.
  • Review, balance and reconcile monthly commercial loan totals for both portfolio commercial loans and loans services by 3rd Party CUSO’s for monthly board and senior leadership reporting.
  • Prepare requested documentation for internal audits and external regulatory examinations.
  • Assist with loan document review as needed to ensure all loans are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist with credit union collection efforts and due diligence efforts for commercial borrowers as needed.
  • Maintain commercial loan tracking and monitoring reports, keeping them up to date to provide regular updates to Chief Credit Officer, Chief Lending Officer and senior leadership monthly, or as requested.
  • Participate in training, seminars, and workshops to improve underwriting, monitoring, and reporting skills.
  • Answer member inquiries courteously and promptly by providing accurate and timely information.
  • Understanding of State and Federal loan regulations, policies, and procedures.
