HireNow Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a premier national law firm seeking a mid-level associate to join its litigation practice in Washington, D.C. Requirements

4-6 years of litigation experience (class of 2019/2021 only)
Solid understanding of complex case management; experience in insurance coverage litigation is a plus
Outstanding legal writing and oral advocacy skills
DC Bar license (active and in good standing)
Law firm experience with an Am Law 100/200 firm or comparable setting
Consistent work history with strong academic credentials

Nice To Haves

Background or interest in environmental or product liability litigation
Prior clerkship experience, particularly with the U.S. District Court or Appellate Court

Responsibilities

Draft litigation documents including motions, briefs, pleadings, and strategic memoranda
Handle all aspects of case development, from discovery and depositions to trial prep and appeals
Perform nuanced legal research and contribute to innovative arguments
Conduct detailed analysis of insurance policies and liability risks
Partner with clients, internal teams, experts, and opposing counsel to manage litigation outcomes
Prepare coverage opinions and help evaluate disputes involving complex contractual and regulatory issues
