Requirements

  • At least three years of Commercial Insurance Experience.
  • Experience with Agency Management System (Applied EPIC preferred).
  • Valid NYS driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to and work out of additional locations upon request.
  • Valid NYS P&C license.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate complex commercial insurance risks by gathering information on a client's business operations, assets, and potential liabilities to determine appropriate coverage levels.
  • Compile comprehensive submissions to various insurance carriers, including detailed risk information, coverage requests, and supporting documentation.
  • Stay updated on market trends, carrier appetite, and pricing strategies to select the most suitable insurance companies for each client's needs.
  • Negotiate coverage terms, premiums, and policy conditions with underwriters to secure favorable rates and coverage options for clients.
  • Analyze quotes from different carriers, compare options, and present a clear and concise proposal to clients, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Maintain open communication with clients and producers, explaining complex insurance concepts, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the marketing process.
  • Coordinate the binding of policies with chosen carriers, ensuring accurate coverage details and timely implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of client information, risk details, carrier responses, and policy details within agency management systems.
  • Comply with all office policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
