Position Overview The Commercial Lines Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accuracy and consistency of commercial insurance policies, underwriting files, and related documentation. This position serves as a subject matter expert in quality standards and works closely with underwriting, operations and training teams to uphold organizational expectations for service excellence and risk integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in CL underwriting, quality assurance, or audit leadership
- Demonstrated knowledge of: Commercial insurance products, underwriting processes, and risk evaluation principles
- Demonstrated skill in: Communication, leadership, and relationship building
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated ability to: Interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice To Haves
- CPCU, CIC, or similar designation preferred
Responsibilities
- Leads and maintains the Commercial Lines quality assurance program
- Develops scorecards to track and analyze premium leakage
- Conducts operational reviews for underwriters
- Identifies trends, training needs, and improvement opportunities through audit findings
- Collaborates with leadership to implement corrective actions and monitor progress
- Supports initiatives that increase straight-through processing while maintaining underwriting discipline
- Presents findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership to inform process and training priorities
- Drives continuous improvement efforts focused on consistency, accuracy, and customer experience
- Partners with training teams to integrate quality insights into ongoing underwriter and processor development programs
- Performs other duties as assigned
