Position Overview The Commercial Lines Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accuracy and consistency of commercial insurance policies, underwriting files, and related documentation. This position serves as a subject matter expert in quality standards and works closely with underwriting, operations and training teams to uphold organizational expectations for service excellence and risk integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in CL underwriting, quality assurance, or audit leadership
  • Demonstrated knowledge of: Commercial insurance products, underwriting processes, and risk evaluation principles
  • Demonstrated skill in: Communication, leadership, and relationship building
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to: Interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • CPCU, CIC, or similar designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads and maintains the Commercial Lines quality assurance program
  • Develops scorecards to track and analyze premium leakage
  • Conducts operational reviews for underwriters
  • Identifies trends, training needs, and improvement opportunities through audit findings
  • Collaborates with leadership to implement corrective actions and monitor progress
  • Supports initiatives that increase straight-through processing while maintaining underwriting discipline
  • Presents findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership to inform process and training priorities
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts focused on consistency, accuracy, and customer experience
  • Partners with training teams to integrate quality insights into ongoing underwriter and processor development programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
