Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Pr o ducer to join our growing tea m in Bend, OR! Commercial Lines Pr o ducers report to the Office Leader , Vice Pr esident, or individual whose responsibility are in the sales and renewal of business and defined as “ pr o ducer” by participation in the TOP GUN pr o gram. Pr o ducers receive sales goals and objectives while operating within Brown & Brown quality control pr o cedures. Compensation can consist of commission in addition to base salary, at the Office’s discretion. Business is pr imarily conducted outside of the physical location of the branch or office.

  • Pr o mote the growth of BBNW through the sale of new accounts
  • Develop and pursue cross-selling opportunities in concert with the Customer Account Managers
  • Build, expand, and solidify relationships with the customers at all levels within the company and lead ap pr o pr iate resources to address the customer’s needs, including risk and the identification and resolutions of underwriting or policy issues
  • Obtain pr o spects and actively pursue and create interest by making telephone calls, writing letters, or through personal visits
  • Maintain and actively work a database of active pr o spects by identifying business needs and pr o posing company pr o ducts and services
  • Monitor level of customer service and assist with claim issues as needed
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints and pr o blems
  • Encourage and coordinate tea mwork and communication among those who service customers
  • Set regularly scheduled meeting on a frequency that is ap pr o pr iate for each customer
  • Assist the Customer Account Managers with the collection of receivables
  • Keep current on marketplace changes and inform customer as necessary
  • Become significantly involved and future develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in pr o f essional development activities
  • Must have, or obtain within 6 months, current Pr o perty and Casualty License in all required states
  • Basic understanding of insurance and business terminology
  • Highly competitive with a strong desire to succeed
  • Fluent with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor with above average empathy, able to read the subtleties of non-verbal communication, and respond accordingly
  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong, consistent, and assertive communication skills
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with high energy and ability to work effectively at a fast pace
  • Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in business or financial related field is pr eferred, other combination of work and/or education will be considered
  • AMS360 experience or skills to learn software pr o gram at an accelerated ability
