About The Position

The Commercial Lines Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Commercial Lines service teams across the Middle Market and Select Business Unit (SBU). This role provides operational leadership, systems expertise, and people management to ensure consistent service delivery, strong data integrity, efficient workflows, and ongoing teammate development. The Commercial Lines Manager serves as a subject-matter expert in Applied Epic and related service platforms and partners closely with Producers, Account Executives, and agency leadership to support retention, growth, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial lines insurance sales or account management
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial P&C coverages and service operations
  • Advanced proficiency with Applied Epic and related agency systems
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable Commercial Lines service team members across Middle Market and SBU
  • Establish service standards, performance expectations, and workload balance across teams
  • Partner with Producers, Account Executives, and leadership to support client service and retention
  • Oversee workflow consistency, data integrity, and compliance within Applied Epic
  • Serve as a systems expert for Applied Epic, Indio, CSR24, and Applied Pay
  • Monitor key performance metrics including workloads, turnaround times, and service quality
  • Own Commercial Lines workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements
  • Provide guidance and support for E&S placements and marketplace navigation
  • Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of Commercial Lines team members
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, HR, Sales Operations, and carrier partners
  • Prepare reporting and updates for leadership as needed
