About The Position

Global Marine Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager to support our Commercial Lines team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and actively supports Account Managers and Producers with the day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance accounts, including marine and inland marine risks.

Requirements

  • Must have active Insurance Property & Casualty Insurance License, and maintain through continuing education requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
  • Flexibility with daily tasks
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Goal oriented
  • Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concern, and overcome objections
  • Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with account managers
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience
  • Insurance Management System experience required. AMS360 is our current system which you will be trained to use

Responsibilities

  • Support Commercial Lines Account Managers and Producers with servicing commercial insurance accounts
  • Process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, and reinstatements
  • Assist with new business and renewal preparation, including applications and underwriting information
  • Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and completeness
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs), auto ID cards, and evidence of insurance
  • Communicate with insurance carriers, wholesalers, and underwriters to obtain documentation and policy information
  • Respond to routine client inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed
  • Assist with billing inquiries, audits, and premium finance documentation
  • Maintain accurate electronic client files and documentation in the agency management system, AMS360
  • Manage task lists, prioritize workload, and meet department deadlines
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and team members to ensure exceptional client service
  • Meet Quality Assurance Requirements, follow GMIA Agency Shield, and other key performance metrics
