Kaplansky Insurance, an Alera Group company, is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our Worcester, MA team! Requirements

  • Valid Massachusetts Property and Casualty License
  • 3 years or more of Commercial Lines experience
  • Effective communicator with proven skills relating to ideas to others
  • Detail, deadline, and multi-task oriented
  • Must have a working knowledge of insurance agency management software, insurance rating software, and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Applied Epic experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Service of commercial lines insurance policies
  • Sales of commercial lines insurance policies (quotable prospects provided)
  • Ability to resolve client concerns and issues
  • Advise and assist clients by explaining coverage options/exclusions, making coverage recommendations, requesting policy changes, handling premium collections, and answering questions and concerns of the client
  • Responds to client service requests in a timely manner that will avoid potential E&O issues
  • Account round of existing accounts (commissions plus incentives)
  • Refer accounts to the personal lines department (incentives)
  • Maintain client accounts on agency automation system Applied-Epic, document conversations, properly attach documents in Epic, send confirmations to insured's, and adheres to all other automation procedures that are or become established
  • Maintains follow-up and suspense system for outstanding orders and correspondence, follows-up on overdue and suspense items
  • Responds to carrier requests for additional information in a timely manner
