Position Overview The Commercial Lines Lead Account Manager supports the service and marketing needs of commercial clients while meeting agency sales, service, and quality standards. This role includes managing renewals, remarketing accounts, servicing policy changes, marketing new business, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, or related field (preferred or in progress).
  • Active Texas General Lines Property & Casualty License required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of Commercial Lines experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products, rating procedures, and coverage analysis.
  • Familiarity with insurance markets and carrier guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and provide clear recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-qualify and analyze commercial prospects’ coverage needs.
  • Recommend appropriate coverages and prepare quotes and proposals.
  • Market new and renewal business to appropriate carriers.
  • Complete and submit insurance applications; follow up for timely quotes and policies.
  • Recommend excess and surplus lines coverage when needed and educate clients on coverage limitations.
  • Cross-sell and round out accounts at every service opportunity.
  • Generate referrals from existing clients and proactively pursue new prospects.
  • Refer opportunities internally to Life, Benefits, and other departments.
  • Review coverage at each client interaction and recommend improvements.
  • Process renewals and remarket accounts when appropriate.
  • Assist with policy changes, endorsements, certificates, and service requests.
  • Explain coverages, exclusions, and policy changes clearly to clients.
  • Verify policy accuracy and request corrections when necessary.
  • Handle direct-billed payments and cancellation notices appropriately.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals.
  • Assist clients with first reports of claims and provide follow-up support.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic files in accordance with agency standards.
  • Manage workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, markets, and technology.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and reference materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by agency leadership.
