Brown & Brown is seeking Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our growing team in Phoenix, AZ! The Commercial Lines Account Executive is the main client contact for an assigned book of business, uses appropriate judgment and decision-making skills to provide service for customer accounts and transactions, in support of the production and retention of the business. This position is responsible for building, expanding, and solidifying relationships with clients at all levels within the company and leading appropriate resources to address the client’s needs, including risk identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues, accounting issues, claims issues, etc.

Requirements

  • P&C Licensed
  • Complete CIC or AAI Designation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Professional office environment experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or finance-related discipline preferred
  • 8+ years of insurance experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service medium to large commercial accounts, typically generating over $10,000 in revenue
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations as needed to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction
  • Lead marketing efforts for approximately 30% of the book of business, including negotiating and securing competitive quotes
  • Act as a liaison between producers and clients by gathering exposure and operational updates, processing renewal applications, and coordinating necessary documentation
  • Oversee the renewal process by obtaining quotes and claims history from carriers, either directly or through team collaboration
  • Execute the Renewal/Marketing workflow independently or in partnership with the Marketing Team
  • Collect and process signed documentation, including applications, supplemental forms, and non-admitted carrier requests
  • Collaborating with producers to implement new business strategies and onboarding
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with timely and accurate submissions
  • Prepare and finalize Insurance Coverage Reviews, ensuring delivery to clients with appropriate correspondence
  • Manage a broad portfolio of commercial insurance products, providing expert guidance and support
  • Research and respond promptly to client inquiries, delivering high-quality service and solutions
  • Coordinate carrier services such as claim reviews, loss control visits, and premium allocations
  • May serve as the sole producer for select accounts within the assigned portfolio
  • Participate in all departmental service meetings to stay aligned with team goals and updates
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned
