About The Position

Job Summary: To assist the Commercial Lines service staff and Client Advisors (as necessary) in servicing new and existing accounts, with a positive attitude, as stated by agency guidelines and procedures. A Commercial Lines Account Coordinator is committed to delivering a consistently impeccable experience. Responsibilities: Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Renewal Preparation Produce pre-renewal and renewal schedules at the request of the Account Manager/Executive. Request loss runs. Create premium loss summary, where applicable. Research and prepare premium finance agreement for Account Manager/Executive’s review. Activate premium finance agreement and perform follow-up. Obtain MVR’s, as required. Proof of Coverage Provide proof of insurance to clients and/or mortgagees via ID cards, certificates of insurance, or evidence of insurance after verifying coverage to avoid issues involving potential E&O’s. Handle requests timely and accurately in accordance with agency procedures and service standards. Process Policies Accurate and timely processing of endorsements, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements. Prepare audit letter, and, if agency bill, request check to include with the letter. Ensure accuracy of new or existing data. Assemble binder books. Process in compliance with Company and agency guidelines and service standards. Process CNR’s Process notices of cancel or reinstatement for insureds and certificate holders in accordance with Company and agency guidelines and service standards. Forward LPR’s promptly to the Company and follow up for confirmation. Memo late payment notices, follow up for payment as necessary, and send no coverage letters upon final notice. Specialized Coverages Quote and issue flood, wind and builders risk policies. Handle requests timely and accurately in accordance with agency procedures and service standards. Receive, review and input coverage relating to endorsements and underwriting information on new flood, wind and builders risk policies in agency management system in accordance with agency procedures and service standards. Ensure accuracy of new or existing data. Notify Account Manager/Executive of any errors or deviations to avoid potential E&O’s. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial processing desirable.
  • 4-40 insurance license required within 90 days of being in this position.
  • If candidate does not have commercial insurance background, must demonstrate a strong knowledge of fundamental insurance principles.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
