About The Position

We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate within Morgan Stanley corporate and commercial lending operations. The Associate role will key role in day-to-day operations of Morgan Stanley participation positions specific to Corporate and Commercial Loans conducted across multiple trading desks. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes. Requirements

  • Ability to establish clear goals and priorities, and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Subject matter expertise in business area supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requests.

  • At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Loan IQ experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Must be willing to work overtime during seasonal volume spikes.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with syndicated loan products and credit documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily lifecycle servicing transactions within a dynamic portfolio of lending and trading positions supported by domestic and international based resources.
  • Ensure that loan servicing transactions are processed accurately in Loan IQ.
  • Review of legal documentation where applicable (Credit Agreements, Amendments and Waivers).
  • Work with the Business Unit (BU), Financial Controllers (FCG), Global Capital Markets (GCM), Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF), Lending Joint Venture (LJV), and other internal teams on issues with P&L; etc.
  • Responsible for analyzing data, recognizing trends, formalizing conclusions, and presenting synthesized data to management.
  • Manage special projects, including the coordination and documentation of business requirements, test scripts, and implementation plans.
  • Provide recurring and ad-hoc support to Primary Origination and Secondary Trading desks.
