About The Position

TFed Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Lending Analyst to monitor the Commercial Lending portfolio, support Commercial Lenders, collaborate cross departmentally to manage risks, and provide guidance. Requirements

  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Experience in analyzing business financial statements and assessing the viability of businesses.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interact with borrowers, other departments, co-workers, and vendors professionally.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two year degree or advanced certification preferred.
  • Experience in a credit union, banking, or financial business environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the existing commercial lending portfolio and relationships, meeting regulatory and policy expectations for completion. This includes gathering necessary documentation from borrowers to complete annual reviews, track reportable items, and maintaining reports for management. Inform lenders and management of problem loans.
  • Analyze new loan requests. Assist lenders in collecting documentation and perform analysis of said documentation. Ensure correct and accurate documentation and risk rating is completed prior to closing. Inform underwriter and management of policy exceptions.
  • Monitor portfolio and commercial relationships. Evaluate modification requests, track construction loan disbursements, work with Collections to manage delinquent loans, and complete reporting as requested by management.
  • Take member loan applications and prepare them for review by a Commercial Loan Officer.
  • Assist members with any loan-related questions and concerns.
  • Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws and practices pertaining to Commercial Lending.
