The Position: We are seeking a Commercial Landscape Construction Estimator to analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents in order to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale commercial landscape construction projects. This position plays a crucial role in securing new projects and ensuring the company's profitability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in commercial landscape construction estimating.
A deep understanding of landscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Aspire, LMN, Bluebeam, and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of the project and its requirements.
Conduct detailed material and labor takeoffs, accurately measuring and quantifying materials, labor hours, and equipment required for various landscape elements, including hardscape, softscape, and irrigation systems.
Develop detailed estimates, considering all associated costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals, assembling complete bid packages, and ensuring adherence to bid requirements and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, maintaining clear and timely communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and the project management team to clarify bids, accommodate plan changes, negotiate pricing and contract terms, as well as ensure accurate project execution.
Stay informed about material and labor costs, market changes and trends, and competitive pricing to ensure accurate estimates and company profitability.
Work closely with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to construction.
Manage and oversee multiple bids simultaneously and ensure adherence to deadlines.
