About The Position

Supervisors lead groups of team members and are responsible for assigning work tasks, and monitoring performance or overseeing projects. Supervisors are also responsible for making sure team members complete all required training. Supervisors are responsible for directing and maintaining small amounts of organizational resources that are necessary for their projects or team and are in charge of making sure resources are utilized safely and responsibly. Working with Managers, Supervisors are essential in making sure that their team has the information that they need to do their job, and that information regarding emerging issues at the ground level is being shared with their Manager

Requirements

Associate’s degree and/or several years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years of experience effectively leading teams

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management
Experience working within a multi-cultural organization

Responsibilities

Supervise storage and distribution activities
Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in leading, supervising, coaching and disciplining.
Provide input into performance evaluation for recommending promotions, wage increases, associate development and terminations.
Supervise checking and unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with high level of productivity.
Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted.
Secure warehouse against theft.
Maintain safe and clean work environment
Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders
Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards
Other related duties as assigned
Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values
Provide mentorship and coaching
