About The Position

We are seeking a licensed Commercial Electrical Journeyman to join our Facilities team at one of our vibrant CNE casino properties. Ideally you live closest to our Roland or Sallisaw, or Catoosa locations. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of electrical maintenance and installation—ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, and operational 24/7. Requirements

  • Working knowledge of and issue mitigation of automatic transfer switches, rotary and static UPS systems, generators > 1000kva, primary power systems in excess of 13,000v, transformers > 1000kva and other medium voltage and low voltage components.
  • Knowledge of electrical Lock Out/Tag Out and Personal Protective Equipment usage.
  • Demonstrated ability operating articulating booms and scissor lifts.
  • Demonstrated ability with 3-phase power systems.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Must be able to obtain certification to operate articulating booms and scissor lifts.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), Unlimited Journeyman Electrical License and at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides preventive maintenance of electrical panels, electrical devices, switchgear, electrical systems, etc.
  • Ensures all wiring and breakers are following industry standards.
  • Provides code compliant electrical installation services as needed.
  • Oversees installations and conducts work with new installations.
  • Assists with HVAC electrical problems, as needed.
  • Inspects premises for malfunctioning or unsafe items.
  • Implements applicable safety programs and safety manuals, including proper use of hand and power tools.
  • Oversees or installs systems that allow remote sensing or remote operation of electrical devices or systems (does not include IT/Server connections).
  • Provides review of electrical work installed by others, as needed.
  • Prevents breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
  • Performs effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
  • Reads, interprets and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints and electrical code specifications to see layout of commercial electrical equipment installations.
  • Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • Provides end-of-service life information on equipment & devices.
  • Ensures inventory is maintained including replacement lamps and bulbs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
