About The Position
The Commercial Insurance Marketing Analyst I plays a crucial role in the placement of Property & Casualty business, which includes both new and renewal business. This position requires a solid understanding of the capabilities and appetite of various insurance carriers, as well as familiarity with rating systems. The Marketing Analyst is expected to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting regularly with insurance carrier representatives to build collaborative relationships and keep abreast of the agency's status and capabilities. You will also need to continually expand your technical knowledge, identify market trends, and stay informed of current industry standards. Analyzing insurance coverages and pricing models to fit client needs is a key part of your responsibilities, as is completing ratings, gathering information from insurance carrier websites, obtaining quotes, and preparing proposals and presentation materials. Maintaining client files with excellent documentation and organization of data in the agency system, specifically Applied Epic, is essential. The ideal candidate will enjoy building positive relationships with both internal and external staff, excel at complex, detail-oriented tasks, and thrive in an environment that requires continual flexibility and adaptation to change. A strong desire to gain deeper knowledge about commercial insurance and a commitment to accountability in support of the team are also important traits for success in this position.
