About The Position

The Commercial Insurance Manager at NFP Corp is responsible for overseeing commercial insurance matters for high-net-worth individuals and their business interests. This role involves consulting with clients to ensure adequate coverage, analyzing risk characteristics, and managing the renewal process for insurance policies. The position requires strong leadership skills to establish a new department focused on insurance matters and to maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of insurance industry experience
• Bachelor's degree
• In-depth understanding of all aspects of commercial lines of coverage
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of risk management and loss control
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
• Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills for both in-person and teleconference/webinar sessions
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Self-managed and responsible for project and time management

Responsibilities

• Understand client's needs for insurance coverage and consult with managing directors to ensure clients are fully covered to limit any exposure.
• Analyze commercial line accounts and make decisions based on individual risk characteristics, exposure analysis, hazard recognition, and control.
• Present new business or renewal proposals to managing directors.
• Assure policies are accurate and renewed in a timely manner.
• Gather renewal information to complete applications and related documentation for submission to appropriate insurance markets.
• Document and keep procedures on workflow for reviewing commercial insurance.
