About The Position

The position involves multiple tasks related to the take down of used commercial doors and/or equipment, as well as the installation of new commercial doors, operators, and equipment. The role requires evaluating the appropriate commercial door and installation/service requirements for each job, ensuring that the necessary tools and equipment are available and functioning before work begins. The individual will document the full installation/service needed, determine if additional work is required, and note any alterations or obstructions prior to starting each job. The position also includes performing minor work in framing, adjustments, and servicing/installing various commercial garage doors and operators, while maintaining equipment and vehicle inventory.

  • Three to six months related service, installation, or construction experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take down used commercial doors and/or equipment.
  • Install new commercial doors, operators, and equipment.
  • Evaluate commercial door and installation/service requirements for each job.
  • Ensure appropriate tools and equipment are available and functioning before work commencement.
  • Document the full installation/service needed for each job.
  • Determine if additional work is required and ensure approved installation of products.
  • Note alterations, construction modifications, and obstructions before starting each job.
  • Discuss work documentation with Salesperson and/or Scheduling Supervisor for approval.
  • Perform minor work in framing, build-ins, and adjustments.
  • Service and/or install Wayne Dalton Corp. commercial garage doors.
  • Service and/or install commercial garage door operators.
  • Perform commercial service/installation on a wide range of products including hinges, operators, door sections, rolling steel, torsion springs, dock equipment, locks, etc.
  • Maintain care and maintenance of equipment and tools provided by Wayne Dalton of Kennewick.
  • Maintain care and maintenance of vehicles provided by Wayne Dalton of Kennewick.
  • Maintain appropriate parts inventory in the vehicle for service/installation work.
  • Represent Wayne Dalton Corp. with customers in a professional manner.
  • Explain the work to be performed and completed to customers.
  • Provide service that is expedient and well-prepared.
  • Clean work area and discard trash appropriately after each service/installation call.
  • Contact Wayne Dalton on radio dispatch system regarding job progress and additional work.
  • Provide billing documents to consumers and accept payment as determined by Wayne Dalton Corp.
  • Retain backup copies of billing information and payments in a safe place.
