About The Position

Key Responsibilities: Install security, access control, and CCTV systems in accordance with company and code standards. Verify system performance, maintain accurate records, and build customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions. Plan security system installations by surveying locations, identifying requirements, and laying out equipment and wiring plans. Test and verify system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper operation. Document fire inspections, installations, and service activities. Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following best practices and keeping security information confidential. Additional Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid California driver’s license. Clean criminal background and motor vehicle record. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills. Superior customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years as an Installation or Service Technician or equivalent in the security or fire alarm industry.
  • Advanced understanding of networking and IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7, 10, & Server).
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage circuits and Ohm’s Law.
  • Experience with DMP, Honeywell, Ademco, Bosch systems.
  • Familiarity with access control systems and programming.
  • Experience with CCTV installation and DVR/NVR programming, IP and megapixel cameras.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Clean criminal background and motor vehicle record.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills.
  • Superior customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized.

Nice To Haves

  • Current California State Fire Alarm/Life Safety Technician License/Certification is a plus.
  • Factory certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to install and bend conduit is a plus.
