About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and install commercial HVAC systems for clients in the greater Nashville, TN area. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and experience with complex equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a plus.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of Commercial HVAC experience.
  • Knowledge of Commercial HVAC installation and repair, including chillers, cooling towers, and VFDs.
  • EPA certification required; NATE or Sheet Metal certifications preferred.
  • Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Friendly, customer-focused, and professional.
  • Team player with good communication.
  • Comfortable using smartphones/computers for work orders and timesheets.
  • Must pass background checks for school access.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record (TN insurable).
  • Able to work on smoke-free campuses.
  • Lift 50+ lbs (up to 100 lbs occasionally).
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch regularly.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Work in various temperatures, weather, and noisy environments.

Nice To Haves

  • NATE or Sheet Metal certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in commercial HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install, service, and maintain complex equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, VFDs, and BAS platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members to ensure high-quality service and installation outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation plans, materials, and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
