What You’ll Do As an HVAC Technician I, you will: Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems to keep the building safe and comfortable. Use building automation systems to check performance and make repairs as needed. Work with BMS technicians to adjust and fix system settings. Help the Chief/Supervisor manage subcontractors when needed. Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and keep inventory stocked. Follow preventive maintenance plans to keep equipment running well. Respond quickly to emergencies and call for extra help if needed. Complete repair and maintenance records. Handle general building repairs (painting, plumbing, electrical). Answer internal service calls and tickets from the operations team. Communicate clearly and work well with others. Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines. Help train and mentor team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Universal CFC certification (required)
  • 1+ years of HVAC experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Refrigeration experience required
  • Must complete OSHA 10 within 6 months of hire
  • Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and documents
  • Must work safely and protect others
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF)
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more and climb stairs/ladders
  • Physical activity includes standing, walking, and stooping
