About The Position

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician II at STR Mechanical is responsible for diagnosing and repairing heating, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment. This role emphasizes customer service and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance. The technician will work in a field environment, servicing various commercial clients and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Active EPA certificate.
• 3-5+ years' experience in a commercial or residential HVAC setting.
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds and regularly carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment.
• Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units or replace parts for existing units according to specifications.
• Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls.
• Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers.
• Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered.
