About The Position

Responsible for installation of commercial HVACR systems utilizing knowledge of sheet metal installation, refrigerant and water piping along with all other industry practices to make a complete installation in commercial environments.

Requirements

  • Associates degree, technical school certification in HVACR, or 4 year apprenticeship
  • Minimum 5 years commercial installation experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience as a commercial HVAC installer or technician
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and their proper installations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals
  • Copper brazing and installation of refrigerant systems a plus
  • Copper soldering and installation of hydronic systems a plus
  • Duct fabrication and installation a plus
  • Insulation installation a plus
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • HVAC certification or license (EPA Section 608, NATE certification, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Must adhere to all OSHA and Page Mechanical safety policies and procedures
  • Team oriented with the ability to work well and communicate with others
  • Must own basic personal tools of the trade
  • Demonstrates willingness to accept responsibility and accountability
  • Neat, professional appearance
  • Possess valid driver's license and clean driving record; clean criminal background for school district badge

Responsibilities

  • Perform installations of commercial HVACR equipment
  • Assist Foremen and Project Manager in job layout
  • Order parts and supplies as needed
  • Use hand tools and power tools
  • Keep current on all manufacturers products concerning installation
  • Complete documentation associated with the installation
  • Sheetmetal duct fabrication and installation
  • Removal and installation of commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, etc.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete installations according to design or manufacturer specifications
  • Ensure all HVAC systems are installed in compliance with local, state, and national building codes
  • Perform site inspections and assist with material take-offs and estimating
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and other personnel to complete projects on schedule
  • Provide guidance and training to junior installers or apprentices when needed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order
