As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting a major telecommunications client by maintaining and ensuring the optimal performance of their Cloud sites in the Norfolk area. This position focuses on preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. As a mobile engineer, you'll be provided with a company van, all necessary tools, a uniform, a gas card, and both an iPhone and an iPad to support your daily tasks.

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems specifically within the designated Cloud sites in the Norfolk area.
  • Review assigned work orders, accurately estimate the time and materials needed for completion, and maintain an organized inventory of necessary supplies and tools.
  • Proactively implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems operate at their peak performance and longevity.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to verify equipment functionality within design parameters.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Operate the company-issued vehicle (van) in a safe and responsible manner while executing daily work responsibilities within the Norfolk area.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues, sharing in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and a broad understanding of other related disciplines within the Engineering and Technical Services function.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Work collaboratively to build consensus and effectively communicate to achieve common goals.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
  • Work within established guidelines and policies, exercising sound judgment and making informed decisions.
  • Effectively explain complex or sensitive information to stakeholders as needed.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant job experience.
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a formal diploma.
  • Universal CFC certification and a valid Driver's License.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
