About The Position

We are seeking a qualified field service technician for commercial programming, start-up and service for HVAC and building systems and products. This person will be working mainly in Connecticut and southern New England. The individual will report to the Field Service Manager. Service and commission Flow Tech’s HVAC control products and systems including ABB variable frequency drives, Phoenix Controls, TOXALERT, Aircuity, CET and other controls products we support Focus on commissioning, programming, servicing, calibrating, and integration of these HVAC control systems and products. Apply knowledge of building systems and controls to Flow Tech’s projects

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree in electrical/electronic technology and/or equivalent field experience with building controls
  • Experience in startup and service of building systems, strong electrical/electronic and control background, PC skills, the ability to work independently and interact with customers are a must
  • Applicants must have a clean valid drivers’ license as daytime travel is required

Nice To Haves

  • Construction or service experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC and electrical equipment or trade license is a plus
  • Be comfortable around electricity and working on ladders/lifts above ceilings
  • Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Be smart and energetic with the willingness to work long hours in the construction and service industry
  • Have experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting building systems and controls
  • Be a person who can represent the company well with its customers
  • Be willing to continually learn and become educated on new products and technology

Responsibilities

  • Service and commission Flow Tech’s HVAC control products and systems including ABB variable frequency drives, Phoenix Controls, TOXALERT, Aircuity, CET and other controls products we support
  • Focus on commissioning, programming, servicing, calibrating, and integration of these HVAC control systems and products.
  • Apply knowledge of building systems and controls to Flow Tech’s projects
