Requirements
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)
- 3+ years' experience installing DX HVAC systems
- Valid Florida Driver's License & insurable under company policy
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with foremen, GCs, and other trades
- Comfortable training or supporting apprentices
- Strong understanding of HVAC components (compressors, coils, TXVs/EEVs, controls)
- Familiarity with refrigerant cycle and EPA-compliant handling
- Knowledge of NEC, IMC, and jobsite safety standards (PPE, fall protection, LOTO)
- Proficient with tools: gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, vacuums, recovery machines
- Basic understanding of controls and system start-up procedures (AHUs, pumps, etc.)

- Factory training/start-up certifications
- Familiarity with CHW/HHW systems
Responsibilities
- Install and commission DX systems: refrigerant piping, air handlers, condensers, thermostats, and drain lines
- Pressure test, evacuate, and charge systems with refrigerant
- Wire controls, relays, disconnects, and thermostats
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- Set rooftop units using cranes/lifts and ensure proper leveling
- Insulate and test refrigerant lines for leak-free performance
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental protocols on-site
