A valid heavy equipment operator certification is required. Requirements
- 3-5+ years of commercial or civil heavy equipment operating experience
- Must be fully competent operating an excavator
- Must hold a valid heavy equipment operator certification
- Ability to read site drawings and follow grade stakes as needed
- Must provide PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, work boots)
- Must pass any required background checks or drug screenings
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong focus on safety, communication, and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Operating an excavator for trenching, grading, and site preparation
- Following site plans, directions, and safety procedures
- Performing basic daily equipment inspections
- Working closely with site supervisors and labor crews
- Ensuring safe operation at all times
